Big Bark helps education department

RRP Finding their way brochureThe Raising Participation Partnership (RPP) is a service provided to the Berkshire Unitary Authorities of Reading, Slough, West Berkshire and Wokingham. Their role is to involve schools, colleges and training providers across Berkshire to improve the local economy and young people’s prospects.

From September 2013 all young people in England are now expected to continue learning until the end of the academic year in which they turn 17. In 2015 this will extend to their 18th birthday, or earlier if they achieve a level 3 qualification such as 2 A-levels. This is called Raising the Participation Age. The RPP project set out to target 16 and 17 year olds at risk of not participating.

When they produced their latest two reports, Finding their Way and Supporting their Way, in the form of word heavy documents they were faced with the quandary of how to transform these into colourful, easy to read brochures that would appeal to their target audience of teachers, students and all in education sectors and increase brand visibility to raise general awareness.

Recommended to RPP by Connexions Berkshire, Big Bark Creative was able to solve the problem for them. Working within the limited budget that Not For Profit Organisation marketing demands and with only copy for guidance we produced quality, and fun, 26 page brochures. We ensured that fonts were easily legible, the brochures weren’t too busy and that everything was laid out in a clear and concise way.

“Big Bark Creative have been the provider for design and print-ready publications and marketing materials for the Raising Participation Partnership projects and at other times have given helpful advice they have not charged for. Their tenders have always been competitive and in line with our public sector procurement processes. What makes them our preferred organisation to do business with, is their willingness to go the extra distance to work with us as their clients and customers to get the final product ‘right’, to provide the best products that stand out from the crowd at the most competitive price, and to deliver against our demanding deadlines”.
